3 REASONS WHY YOU SHOULD ATTEND

1) Learn More About Innovative Models of Collaboration
Moderated by Leadership Team member Dorrell Green, the morning panel discussion will dive into four unique collaborations occurring in Delaware

Representatives from higher education, school districts, and health care will share lessons learned and offer ideas to jumpstart new or existing collaborations among attendees.

Featured collaborations include:

  • Districts and charters working together to improve student outcomes
  • Higher education institutions and K-12 educators joining forces to strengthen the teacher pipeline
  • Health care and high schools coordinating to give students relevant work experience before graduation
  • AND MORE!

2) Hear A Student’s Perspective
Mount Pleasant High School student, Destiny Cheeks, will present a spoken word poem on the topic of collaboration in education.

Throughout her educational journey, she has been actively involved with the arts by participating in organizations like the Christina Cultural Arts Center and Cathedral Choir School of Delaware. She has also participated in the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Communication Contest since its inception and has made it to the final round each year.

3) Take Advantage of Networking Opportunities
Delaware is small but there’s no substitution for connecting with someone in person. Don’t miss the chance to network with local community and business leaders, educators, policymakers, and subject matter experts.

The 11th Annual Vision Coalition and University of Delaware Conference provides opportunities for attendees to form new relationships, strengthen existing ones, and meet the person you’ve been emailing but never had the chance to shake hands with.

Representatives from the following organizations will be in attendance:

  • DelawareCAN
  • Delaware Readiness Teams
  • Dual School
  • Parent Information Center
  • Nemours
  • SummerCollab

  • Department of Education
  • Division of Public Health
  • Rodel Teacher Council
